Quality and Safeguarding

Quality and
Safeguarding

For us to continue to flourish as a business, we need to maintain the trust of the families whose children we care for every hour of every day, and that means quality and safeguarding are critical priorities for us.

That's overseen by Gill Jones, MBE, our Group Chief Quality Officer, who joined us in 2022 after playing a leading role at Ofsted, the UK inspector of education, training and childcare services. This commitment to excellence is reflected in every nation where wer care for Busy Bees children.

Quality Education

Our innovative approach empowers children to shape their own educational journey, making learning an engaging experience and reflecting the innate curiosity of young learners.

The way we go above and beyond what is expected in each of our centres, promotes the development of self-awareness, understanding of others, appreciation for cultural diversity, a sense of global stewardship, and a strong connection to the community and natural surroundings, fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Our commitment to quality childcare is reflected in our centres' accreditations and ratings awarded by official bodies around the world.

Each territory goes above and beyond the regulated framework to ensure that Busy Bees children receive the best early years care and education available.

We aim to exceed the quality standards required within each of our operating countries, through our global network of world-class trained staff working in fully-equipped, safe and inviting centres. For example in the UK 97% of our centres are rated as Good our Outstanding by Ofsted, the Government inspectorate.

This commitment to excellence is reflected in every nation where we care for Busy Bees children.

Shield

Safeguarding

We have robust safeguarding policies and regular training in place for all our care providers and colleagues, from their induction into working at Busy Bees onwards, with best practice updates rolled out annually.

We consistently monitor and update our measures to keep our children safe, with local learnings and best practices shared across the group.

To oversee the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and training, Busy Bees established a Global Safeguarding Board and committee in 2021, which is supported by a group-led safeguarding governance structure that was introduced in 2022, with a designated safeguarding lead in the management team of each territory.

Global People Policy

Global People Policy

It is our people who provide the exceptional care and learning experiences for the children entrusted to us every day.

Having appropriately qualifed, skilled and well-trained people is essential to the success of the Busy Bees Group. As a business, it is our responsibility to ensure they are suitably qualified, well trained, confident and happpy at work, in order to thrive and be their best.

Our Global Policy sets out the Group standards and commitments by which we aim to provide a rewarding, fair and sustainable working environment for our people, and underpins the local people frameworks, policies and procedures in our global businesses.

The policy clearly lays out what our people can expect from us and in return what is expected from them and each other.
